    • Dolby Digital-sound DivX ripping guide 1.0 added - If you know the basics of ripping (getting the VOBs to your harddrive and converting them into DivX video), this guide can tell you how you add that crystal clear Dolby Digital 5.1 audio to it. The guide takes you through the process step by step and, as I said, you don't need to be a pro-ripper to do this.

    • DivX ;-) BitRate 1.00 released - a new French DivX bitrate with an emphasis on correctness
    • DVD2AVI 1.74 stable version released - bug fixes, improvements in iDCT code (speed up performance) and improved audio decoding - Converts MPEG-2 streams to AVI - 1.75 test version also available
    • Time2Frames 0.9 added - a tool for calculating chapter breaks for MicroDVD INI files
    • Tony Savon's BitCalc 0.3 released - a bitrate calculator to help you determine which bitrate you should use if you want to limit the file size of the converted movie - it now displays DVD tracks informations such as number and languages of audio tracks and subtitles, useful for non-flask rippers.
