It Rips is a module that combines dvd
demux with audio and video encoding, as well as subtitle extraction e
in vobsub format. Fast, practical and low space consuming. This is
achieved because, while the dvd is being stripped, audio, video and
subtitle streams are demuxed and instantaniously encoded to the
specified format. So, you don't need any intermediate hard disk space,
and this process achieves an higher performance as well as simplicity.
It works with any video codec, though it's code is optimized for divx
3.11.
