Description: A guide on how to cut/split AVI files in NanDub

Description:

From the author
Nandub is a software designed for encoding DivX ;-) and MPEG4v2 compressed AVI files, using the state of the art technology called Smart Bitrate Control. It is not designed to be a general AVI editing/capture tool. In this regard, it has nothing to do with its 'ancestor', VirtualDub.

A brief history : when you start encoding with a 'normal' encoding tool, all you get to see is the reknown codec setup dialog box, offering gorgeous control over 3 parameters : average bitrate, keyframes interval and crispness. A couple months ago, I got curious about the fact that there was so few parameters to play with. So I started looking what was happening in the codec's internals, and noticed that I could influence things manually. So, I decided to try to get more control in a programmatic way : Nandub was born. Anecdotically, I didn't invent the name, a good friend of mine, early beta-tester and "ripping teacher" in my release group, got tired to type "Nando's VirtualDub" on IRC, and he simply made it much shorter, "Nandub".
Please refer to the readme file for more information ...

Guides: NanDub+BRC : Modified version of NanDub that includes a bitrate calculator. Video length and audio data are read from sources and calculated bitrate is set directly to NanDub. You'll need to install the original NanDub first and then overwrite the files in the NanDub directory with the modified files in NanDub+BRC.
