For this week's Trailer of the Week, I have made available the DivX 5.1.x preview trailer (still with hand drawn sketched placeholder scenes) for Brother Bear, as found on the Lion King DVD. This week's trailer is encoded by DivX Digest.
I have finally updated the DivX codec setup guide, which has been updated for the release of DivX 5.1, and also some structural updates to make the guide easier to follow.
A new version of FairUse is also available. This new version now includes support for separate credit encoding, as well as several bug fixes and full French and particial Italian translations.

A new version of Media Player Classic has been released for today. The new version fixes the broken avi opener and reindexer, has a new built-in ogg splitter, fixed (s)vcd autorun and the roq decoders has been enabled.

As promised, this week's Trailer of the Week will be a re-release of an old trailer, as voted by you. I have made available the DivX 5.x trailer for The Lord of the Rings : The Return of the King. This week's trailer hasn't been encoded by DivX Digest, and has been submitted to us by BiMb ThE hiMb.
A new version of the DivX Codec has been released. DivX 5.1.1 adds support for for generic MP4 FourCC codes, some small changes and fixes a few bugs which caused performance problems in the previous release.

A new version of 3ivx has been released. Instead of just providing a codec, 3ivx is now available in a complete filter suite, offering MPEG-4 encoding and playback filters. As the official site puts it : "3ivx is an MPEG-4 toolkit that supports MPEG-4 Video, MPEG-4 Audio and the MP4 file format".

A new major version of BS Player has been released. This new version includes a totally rewritten playback engine, and it is being released as release candidate, and does not have all the features of the final 1.00 version.
A new version of FairUse is also available. This new version now includes MMX optmized resizing, CPU optimizations, project batch processing, OggMedia and OggVorbis support, a new installer and more.
Rounding off the software updates is a new version of Media Player Classic. The new version doesn't come with a change log, so it's hard to tell what's new.

For today, I have added the latest version of AVI-Mux GUI. AVI-Mux GUI allows you to create AVI files with more than one audio track. A new version of AviScript is also available. AviScript is an Avisynth generator, capable of taking your AVI/DivX/D2V file and applying the required filter/codecs for VCD/SVCD/DVD output.

A new hotfix release for Gordian Knot has been released. This fix is only for DivX 3.11 users, so it's not essential for everyone. There is also a new French translated version of the SubRip/MicroDVD to SSA subtitle conversion tool, SUB to SSA.
I have also added a new tool from the author of RadLight Player called RadLight Filter Manager. RadLight Filter Manager is an open source tool that allows you to change the merit levels of DirectShow filters, which determines which filters are used for playback if there are multiple filters for the same media type.

EZVideoSplicer has come out of beta, and is now available for purchase. EZVideoSplicer is a shareware WMV 9 movie encoding software with editing (cutting/joining) features.

For today, a new version of ViPlay has been released. ViPlay is an advanced multimedia player with both DVD (external decoders required) and DivX playback capabilities. The new version adds support for Gabest's Avi Splitter filter, plus various other improvements and fixes.
